Chocolate Heaven

Chocolate Balls, it’s quick and easy to do and great for the kids. The beauty part of this recipe is that it involves no baking/oven, just mixing the ingredients and into the fridge….simplicity at its best.

Anyone for a Cuppa?

Happy Father’s Day to all of you father’s out there. While the weather here in Suva has been very dreadful, more rain and cold winds, today was such a great day. Had the family cook up a storm in the kitchen for lunch and to end the day, the kids got heavily involved in baking.

It started with getting the Cup Cakes in order, mixing, placing those Cup Cake ‘things’ in the tray and then pouring the mix into the tray. Ahhh, how kids just love to get involved in baking especially when they love cakes and the cream on top of it. After all that was done, the 3 decided to wipe the bowl clean, and I do mean clean, not a spot of chocolate mix left!

Sugar in the blood stream had got them all pumped up and tearing the house apart, given that the weather was not good and they couldn’t wait to see the end product of their effort. The kitchen was suppose to be a NO GO area, however Master 3 and lil Missy 2, kept dashing into the kitchen just to see where it was at.

An hour later, with the final touches done by my personal “Baking Queen’, the crying started with the small ones trying to grab their hands on the Cup Cakes and trying to lick the cream from high places, with a little bit of tip toeing, my how determination will get you there!

I am expecting more hyper active kids tonight with the Cup Cakes, Chocalate Cake and Custard pie to be consumed, but it’s all worth it given that they all pitched in to make this day a special day. Love you all, and do excuse me while I indulge myself with some of the Cup Cakes and a hot Cuppa just to wash it all down….Moce mada!
